Frequently asked questions.
Do you offer Online/Offline sessions?
Yes, sessions can be conducted both ways.
What approach(es) do you employ?
Largely, an integrated approach – a combination of different healthy interventions that complement each other and support your entire healing journey.
What is the aim of your work and approach? What results can be expected?
The aim of my work is to better psycho-educate to understand your thoughts and emotions clearly and also understand their impact on your physical body. It also aims to make you aware of the unconscious and unresolved family dynamics that you might have picked up and replaying in your life in some way or the other and move towards a healthy resolution.
Ok. But hold on - will these sessions re-trigger/re-traumatize me? I don’t want to recall the unpleasant stuff about myself or my family.
In no way the sessions are intended to re-trigger you. However, at times certain memories, impressions may surface up during the sessions but that is OK. The unpleasant comes to the surface only to leave you and get out of your system. Be rest assured that the therapist will help you to be centered and not get overwhelmed by the overwhelm. Also – until you won’t look at the unresolved and heal through it – it will remain as is and continue to repeat itself time and again. Best is to look at it and work through it once and for all. Remember when it comes to your mental and emotional health - Short term discomfort can lead to long term comfort.
I understand. But what is the guarantee that this therapeutic coaching will be beneficial in clearing out all my trauma?
Well, that would depend how open, willing and determined you are to work towards necessary transformation and healing. If that happens then we can guarantee a considerable shift if not 100% to begin with. Furthermore, when we work with our subconscious and inherited dynamics, the experience and learning may be different for everyone. For some change may happen in just a couple of days while for some it may take, days or months. Any change needs some space to be integrated and we must give it that.
So how many sessions are recommended?
Depends from person-to-person. However, it is recommended that you undergo the therapeutic coaching sessions for a period of at least 6-8 weeks.
Total Number of Sessions – 10; One Session each week
- 6 Sessions : 60 mins each (EFT / Inner Child/ Systemic Coaching)
- 2 sessions : 90 mins each (Genogram + Family Constellation)
- 2 sessions : 30 minutes each (Support Sessions)
Could you also work with my child?
While I understand your concern about your child, however – Children only reflect back and display what is unresolved with you and in your family system (to which you belong). The child picks up the unresolved (and also unconscious) pain/stress/trauma of his/her parent and mirrors it in ways which we may appear as absurd, unhealthy and make us worried. Hence, first and foremost - lets work with you. When you do the work, the Child will also start reflecting the new found ease and shift.
NOTE: In cases of extreme trauma, it is advisable that you continue with the suggested medical/psychological care as required and simultaneously refer this work as well. It will only further support and strengthen the entire process.
How about if I may ask you to work with my spouse/partner?
No problem in that. However, your spouse/partner needs to step in themselves to do the work. But if you are looking to ‘fix’ your partner – let us work with you first. Our partners/spouses are reflections of us in a certain way. In that, they will also reflect what is unresolved within us. Hence, consider it as an opportunity to grow and shift the focus first on yourself. This doesn’t in anyway mean that if the partner is abusive, then you have to continue undergoing the abuse from your partner. In that case – they may require extra attention and measures to be taken as required/suggested.
Can you please also help me understand - Is your approach a replacement of any medical or any other psychiatric/psychological care?
In no way the work that you may do here is a replacement of necessary medical/psychiatric or psychological care. Rather it is quite flexible and can be blended easily with them. Together it can become ‘Integrated Health Care’ for you and lead you to greater physical, mental, and emotional health.
